Location: Ames, Iowa This was a complete remodel of an existing 90,000 SF grocery store to house a new Dahl’s grocery store in Ames, Iowa. This project involved relighting the store, new power feeds to the shelving/departments, a new backup generator, site lighting, and refrigeration controls. It was completed in 10 weeks from design to occupancy.
This was a renovation of an existing two-story building to house Youth and Shelter Services offices and services.
Location: Nevada, Iowa The first phase of this project consisted of a 9,970 square foot receiving cooler addition used to unload temperature-controlled cargo from delivery trucks. This required a new 800 amp 480 volt service, sub-panels, lighting, three rooftop units, and six refrigeration units used to maintain 32 degrees in the receiving room. New Construction Location: Boone, Iowa This new facility for Moffitt Ford Lincoln Mercury in Boone is a 34,000 square foot structure complete with showroom, body shop, and service and parts area. The building was designed by Story Design Limited. The entire scope of the electrical design was completed by Nelson Electric in-house. Location: Ames, Iowa This project was a 46,500 square foot remodel and addition which added a new classroom and office wing and renovated the entire existing facility. The project included a new 1200 amp service and thirteen sub-panels, a dimming system, a sound system, and the wiring of fourteen new furnace and thirteen new air conditioning units. Location: Nevada, Iowa This project is a 76,000 square foot metal-framed building consisting of offices, classrooms, showroom for agricultural equipment, R&D area, and parts inventory. Special systems Nelson Electric installed were the fire alarm, voice/data, CO exhaust, and septic system.
